Projects methodology and results

This project is divided into patient-based outcomes research and evaluation of specific interventions, altogether tied up by uniform trial methodology and guidelines for health economic evaluation. The innovative elements of the project range from translational medicine to randomized clinical trials (RCTs).

Data

The project’s methodology is based on a series of RCTs, routine standardized data from the new national, web-based database “DaneSpine”, and various register data for assessing patients’ health care service utilization and occupational status for cost-effectiveness evaluations (National Patient Registry, The National Health Insurance Service Registry, Register of Prescribed Medication, The Social Science Research Register etc.).
